Here is an update from RED KAP, one of our leading suppliers of high quality uniforms!

Building a Better Work Shirt, Inch by Inch

Body sizing and fit preferences change over the years, and our research indicated that it was time for us to make some minor tweaks to the core lineup of Red Kap work shirts.
  • First, we increased the length of the back by one inch. This makes it easier for our work shirts to be tucked in - and stay tucked in - through physical work days. For those who choose to wear their shirt untucked, the additional length will provide a neater, more modest appearance.
  • Next, we added 1.25 inches to the sleeve length. This change will enhance the wearer's experience by allowing a greater range of motion and neater appearance.
  • The final change we made was to increase the back yoke width by 1.5 inches. This modification also improves the wearer's range of motion, resulting in even greater comfort and flexibility while on the job.
Red Kap is continuously seeking ways to improve our garments and we're excited about this updated fit. The feedback from individuals involved in wear tests was nothing but positive and we feel certain you'll agree.

A very interesting idea brought to you by Bulwark, one of our leading suppliers of Flame Resistant uniforms!!

Bulwark® Protective Apparel has taken a dynamic approach to B2B marketing with the release of “451o”, a stunning and thought provoking film that focuses attention on one simple fact: people are not fireproof.
As the world’s largest manufacturer of flame-resistant apparel for industrial workers, Bulwark wanted to focus attention on the relationship between people and fire, specifically individuals working in hazardous environments such as those in the oil and gas industry, electric utility workers and commercial electricians.
“451o will surprise many industry observers,” said Stan Jewell, Bulwark General Manager. “Our customers are engaged in serious, sometimes dangerous work. We want them to know that we understand the risks inherent in their work and that Bulwark is committed to developing innovative products and services that increase safety and reduce risk.”
From its inception, Bulwark envisioned the project as one with greater appeal, not only to safety engineers and target industries, but to people in all walks of life. Initial audience reaction has proven that the message strikes the intended chord, reinforcing that life is fragile and, like paper, people can be destroyed in moments.

Interesting and important info...

Gloucester, MA, June 14, 2012 - Since 2006, all passports and many credit cards, debit cards, enhanced drivers licenses, and law enforcement credentials and ID’s contain a RFID (radio frequency identification) chip embedded in them, thus making this information vulnerable to identity theft. Strong Leather Company, realizing this security risk, has been an industry forerunner, using an innovative shielding technology in some of its product linings since 2008.

Strong Leather Company is proud to introduce their new line of “Made in the USA” RFID Shielding Leather Wallets now being offered nationally. The new “RFID” line of stock products has been developed and tested to protect against “identity theft” which is the unauthorized RF (Radio Frequency) scanning (skimming) of personal and departmental information contained in the embedded chip.
